Koharu Kusumi (born July 15, 1992 in Niigata Prefecture, Japan) is the newest addition to Morning Musume, being the only 7th generation Morning Musume member (the last generation to only have 1 member was the third generation member Maki Goto). Before she joined Morning Musume she was the captain of her school's volleyball team. Koharu's audition process and debut was documented during the 2005 episodes of TV Tokyo television show, Hello! Morning.
Kusumi recently joined the Hello! Project kickbase team Metro Rabbits H.P. and her appearance as the voice actor for one of the main characters in the upcoming anime Kirarin Revolution was announced.
